Laura McVeigh is a successful travel writer and novelist (translated in over a dozen languages) whose writing career spans travel journalism, travel writing and literary fiction. She has authored travel books for Lonely Planet and DK Eyewitness, with bylines in the Irish Times, Irish Independent, and features in Newsweek, BBC, New Internationalist, Traveller Magazine, and many more. A member of the British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW) and National Union of Journalists (NUJ), Laura is know for her immersive, culturally rich travel storytelling.
A seasoned traveller and polyglot, she has visited over 70 countries and is currently working on a new collection of travel essays. Her writing explores green travel, off-the-beaten-track journeys, and the power of cultural connection.
